The Winner Is… Google Android Phones!

Lunch Dates, meetings, party time with friends, birthdays, texts, apps, and pretty much everything else can be managed through fantastic smart phones these days. Turns out most of you trust the Android OS to manage it all for you over any other.

With the slogan “a bare knuckled bucket of does”, the Droid phone marketing team caught my attention that’s for sure. I personally have never been an Apple fan so I had no desire to own an iPhone, even with all the cool things it could do. Rather than go out and get one against my will… I waited patiently for a new competitor to come along and give Apple a run for its money; Google answered the call and came out with an OS (operating system) worthy of competition. The Google OS (Android) is of course not limited to just the Droid phone, in fact there are some really amazing phones hitting the market now that I am simply drooling over.

I will be totally honest here; I don’t own a smart phone! I really want one but I am waiting for my carrier to offer me a discount for upgrade before doing so. So I am leaning on reviews from YouTube of the following phones to inform you of how amazing these phones really are.

First I will have a look at the Droid, as it’s no slouch and helped to start the competition against the iPhone.

Next there is the Nexus One which ramps up the game a bit.

Finally there is the new HTC Incredible and it lives up to its name quite well.

So you love your phone, but you want a stylish way to talk on it and carry it right? I found a couple Bluetooth headsets that are great not only in looks, but also in performance. First up there is the Jawbone Prime which comes in a variety of colors to suit your tastes and has amazing noise assassin technology to make sure you will always hear the person on the other end of the line. The other option I found is the LG HBM-530 Bluetooth Headset which isn’t anything special based upon its specs, but it is rather stylish for the more fashion conscious talkers out there. If you’re anything like me then you don’t really have an interest in Bluetooth so I will move on to the fun stuff: cute ways to carry your phone!

I love to shop on Etsy because it’s full of talented creative artists hand making items that are one of a kind or extremely unique and not available anywhere else. Out of the options I saw, this crochet case is my favorite. It has a vintage feel to it, and you might be able to slip in your I.D. and keys for a night out (or just if you don’t feel like lugging a full purse around too). This lovely item comes from nenafaye’s Etsy shop.

Next in line is this adorable little zombie bunny. Of course I had to find a bunny, I do mention in my “About Me” section that I love them hehe. This cute critter is hand sewn, faux fur lined, and zips closed to secure your gadgets inside. I’m actually thinking of buying this one! This bunny hopped out of BirdonaFernStudio’s Etsy shop.

Heading back to more sensible cases (for those of you not as into crazy critters as I am), here is a stylish and sophisticated case that has a pocket for your money, credit card, or shopping list in the front. It has a Velcro tab that secures the top closed and is padded as well so it can help to protect your phone from dropping. Also, the creator will attach a wrist strap upon special request so that you can’t drop it. This chic case is brought to you by thameowdesigns Etsy shop.

This last case isn’t a carrying case at all, it’s a custom bling Etsy shop that will hand-bling out a hard case for any phone type you have (I think they just order a generic body case of your phone model to work upon). It comes with a high price tag, but if you want super kawaii, this is the place to get it. The one in the photo is a Hello Kitty case done in purple tones, but they have many others to choose from and will do custom orders for you. These custom cases are blinged just for you at primadeco’s Etsy shop.

So now you know what the latest and greatest features are in the Android world, have cuter ways to talk wirelessly, and super cute ways of carrying your Smartphone with you, it’s time to go download some useful (or just plain fun) apps and use the GPS to take a trip somewhere that you can show it all off!
