Urban Decay is Curious and Curiouser

It’s time to fall down the rabbit hole with Urban Decay.

As of late everywhere you look you will see something to do with Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Marketing for the movie has touched every aspect of life from clothing and accessories, to candy and now makeup too.

Urban Decay Cosmetics recently released a new book of shadows based on the Tim Burton movie, Alice in Wonderland. The new Urban Decay palette will cost you $52, and all 16 shades come cleverly re-named to fit in with the movie. A few of my favorites include the soft blue “Alice”, the glitter laden black “Jabberwocky”, and of course the versatile white “White Rabbit”.

In addition to the eye shadow palette of colors, there are two 24/7 Eye Pencils, one black and one electric (which is a stunning color), and also one mini version of Urban Decay’s amazing Primer Potion, (which I never apply eye shadow without anymore).

Truly the design of this particular book of shadows is what makes it unique and collectible too. The top portion of the book is a pop up of little Alice amongst the giant mushrooms of the forest, complete with the “Drink Me” bottle in the corner!

Although this item is most certainly a must have for your makeup collection, you will have a hard time getting your hands on one for some time, if ever. Urban Decay has released this palette as a limited edition and they have been sold out everywhere since they debuted. The only place I have been able to locate any in stock is on Ebay… for quite a significant markup.

If you are one of the lucky one’s who managed to purchase one while they were briefly in stock then please send me some photos of what you have done with it! I am eager to see the looks created through the looking glass.
