My Take: Never before have I been on the “bad guy’s” side quite so loyally. Dexter is a show that will make you wonder if vigilante justice is actually OK. Also, the theme song might get irreparably stuck in your head.

Synopsis of House: The series follows the life of anti-social, pain killer addicted, witty, and arrogant medical doctor Gregory House. House is addicted to pain killers because of a dead muscle in his leg. He continually pushes the boundaries of traditional treatments and his coworker’s patience. He and his team of medical doctors try to cure every rare and difficult to diagnose ailment that comes through the hospital doors.

My Take: House always has me laughing through every episode… the wit is just too funny and quick. Hugh Laurie is an amazing actor who portrays House perfectly.

Synopsis of NCIS: Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs is the leader of a team of special agents belonging to the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) Major Case Response Team. Gibbs, a former Marine, is a tough investigator and a highly skilled interrogator who relies on his gut instinct as much as evidence. Gibbs’ second in command is Senior Field Agent Tony DiNozzo, who despite being the class clown always gets the job done. The team also consists of Officer Ziva David, a Mossad officer who is a skilled fighter, as well as Junior Field Agent Timothy McGee, a computer-savvy agent often mocked by DiNozzo. Assisting them are Abby Sciuto, the energetic-but-Goth lab tech who is like a daughter to Gibbs, and Dr. Donald Mallard, nicknamed Ducky, the eccentric medical examiner full of unusual stories. My Take: Every character of this series has a special place in my heart and this show is amazingly well acted. Nothing ever feels forced or fake, and it always keeps me laughing through all the seriousness of the underlying plot.
